Vietnam Visa Policy Overview
Vietnam has significantly relaxed its visa policy in recent years. As of 2026, citizens from 25 countries enjoy visa-free entry, while all other nationalities can apply for an E-Visa online.
Visa-Exempt Countries
The following countries enjoy visa-free entry to Vietnam:
- 45-day visa exemption: France, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Belarus, Russia, Japan, South Korea
- 30-day visa exemption: Brunei, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Kyrgyzstan, Chile, Panama, Cuba
E-Visa Eligible Countries
Since August 2023, citizens of all 196 countries can apply for a Vietnam E-Visa with up to 90 days validity and multiple entries.
