No, you cannot stay beyond the exit date stated on your visa approval letter and official visa. However, you may leave Vietnam on any date earlier than the granted exit date. 

To obtain a Vietnam visa, you will need to pay two types of fees:
- Visa Approval Fee: This fee is paid online after you complete the secure online application form.
- Stamping Fee: This fee is paid directly to the Immigration Officer at the arrival airport in Vietnam.
In total, the cost starts from USD 60 per person for a one-month single-entry visa and may vary depending on the visa type and processing time.
 

To receive your visa stamp upon arrival in Vietnam, you must present the following documents to the Immigration Officers:
- Passport: Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your travel date. Temporary passports may not be accepted.
- Photos: Two recent passport-sized photos (4x6 cm) without glasses.
- Application Form: A completed entry and exit form (Visa on Arrival form).
- Stamping Fee: Pay in cash upon arrival - USD 25 for a single-entry visa and USD 50 for a multiple-entry visa.
- Approval Letter: This document is required to obtain a visa on arrival at a Vietnam international airport."

Although visa processing usually takes only one or two working days, it is recommended to apply for your visa at least 1 to 2 weeks before your arrival date. Applying early helps avoid unexpected issues such as payment problems or typing errors in your application. 

You can get your visa stamped with the approval letter at one of Vietnam’s three international airports: Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi), Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City), or Da Nang International Airport (Da Nang). 

Your visa approval letter will be sent to your email within 2 working days for normal processing or within 1 working day for urgent processing after your approval fee payment is completed.

You must print out the approval letter and bring it with you to the international airport in Vietnam to receive your visa stamp upon arrival. If you would like to receive your approval letter by fax, please send your fax number to support@visagovietnam.com, and we will fax it to you as soon as possible.

You need a visa extension if you want to stay in Vietnam longer without leaving the country. It is recommended to apply for a visa extension at least 2 to 3 days before your current visa expires to avoid any immigration issues.
 

Generally, Vietnamese immigration authorities are not overly strict about photo specifications. However, applicants should still follow these important requirements:
- Size: The photo must be 4 x 6 cm (standard Vietnam photo size) or 2 x 2 inches.
- Recency: The photos must be identical and taken within the last 6 months.
- Color: Photos must be in color and printed on high-quality photo paper.
- Glasses and Accessories: Glasses are allowed only if the eyes are clearly visible. Hats, scarves, or any accessories covering the ears or forehead are not permitted, except for religious purposes.
- Head Position: Face the camera directly with shoulders squared.
- Background: Use a plain, bright-colored background.
- Facial Expression: Keep a neutral expression without smiling.
- Eyes: Eyes must be open and clearly visible."

No, you do not need to submit a scanned copy of your passport when applying online.
